I am pleased to begin this series of video posts by my Bankruptcy Law Network colleague, Kurt O’Keefe. Kurt is a seasoned bankruptcy lawyer in Detroit with 30 years experience representing consumer debtors. Kurt is a member of Bankruptcy Law Network and very active in NACBA, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, having served as Michigan Chair of that organization. He also practices in the area of foreclosure defense.
In this video post, Kurt discusses what happens to your house if you file bankruptcy. As you’ll see, this depends on your unique situation and needs to be discussed with your attorney. Also, your rights differ depending on whether you file Chapter 13 or Chapter 7. Kurt’s post gives a very good overview of this issue.
Look for other video posts by Kurt in the next few months.
